The third film opening my group and I analyzed was Scream. It is a teen thriller/horror. In the first two minutes it introduces the story line of a a girl being called on the phone over and over. It creates the mood of being intense and suspicious. Camera shots that were used were a pan camera it remained in place but rotated as she moved around. Editing used were short takes of the phone whenever it would ring it would cut back and forth between scenes. Sound techniques they used were in the very beginning clip of the title they used sound bridge of a phone ringing and a girl screaming and then faced into the scene of the girl picking up the phone. Mis-en-scene used was the fog shown over the pool in the dark presenting a darker mood. It also includes the location . It shows production company and the title in the opening credits however doesn't show any actors names. The budget for scream was 15 million dollars. However they made 158 million dollars.
